WOYWW

Morning peeps. How organized am I today LOL, actually got a chance to blog early today ;o)
Well, my desk today is kind of semi organized, at least in my world lol. You will see the canvas I am working on at moment. Boy is it tricky to work with deep edge canvas, however a few tricks have given me a finish that I LOVE - not what I originally envisioned but I'm really pleased with (damm sure I wouldn't be able to re create if I tried). I have used a mask and distress inks (Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door) then an IndigoBlu text stamp, still in DI over the top. I love the patchy look. Not sure what to do with it next though as I don't want to spoil it.

The rest of my desk has the usual suspects, scattered ink pads, an ever growing stack of card and paper that I never seem to get around to putting away (why put it away, I'm sure to need it eventually lol)

Last week several of you commented on the wall sockets, yes I have to agree with you having them at table help is brilliant and luckily there are plenty of them too. The unit I work in has taken the pressure off my home space and life and it's great to be able to get everything to hand.
Just a quick reminder of the Design Competition we are running on the website to win £100 of craft goodies!!! pop over to http://www.moonfiredesignsltd.com/ for details of how to enter!
Thanks for looking at todays desk - I wont be joining in for the next 2 weeks as I am of to Atlanta USA to visit firends over the Easter break (flapping hands with excitement again).xxx

  4. Oh wow - love your canvas! I thought I was the only one that when I like how something looks I'm afraid of what I'll do to it next - don't want to mess it up! I'm taking an e-course and the instructor says that she doesn't want her art to be perfect so sometimes she roughs up the edges (on journal pages) or sands down parts of the paper! Yikes, that's a big step for me!

    Happy WOYWW

  9. Rach, I love your canvas so far, and the gorgeous masks too - this is something I am getting into, having just cut some stencils on my cutting machine. Like you, I have power points at table height, in the form of 4-way extension sockets screwed to the uprights that support my video camera rig, and it certainly prevents a lot of bending down and grovelling under the desk! Useful always to have the heat gun etc. to hand, and I can quickly plug my laptop in too.

Thanks for your comment on my blog - glad you like my blog and the stuff I do!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
